Catherine Friend White Creates Bequest to Support Tomorrow’s World-Changing Entrepreneurs
Catherine Friend White MBA’86 has often been an angel investor helping young entrepreneurs find their way. Now she is making a planned gift to Babson that will keep students’ entrepreneurial lights burning brightly far into the future.
After growing up in New Jersey and New York City, Catherine studied philosophy and French as an undergraduate. But her love of discovering tomorrow’s world-changing ideas focused her attention on investment research and led her to Babson College.
In addition to providing her with lifelong friendships and a world-class education, “Babson enlightened and empowered me,” Catherine says. “I want to support our efforts with future students.”
As a graduate student, Catherine served as the first editor of the Babson Entrepreneurial Exchange newsletter, was involved in the Career Expo, and served as vice president of the Graduate Student Association. Since graduating, she has remained deeply involved in the College, including serving as chair of the Cutler Center Board, Graduate School Executive Board, investing in Babson graduate-led businesses, and mentoring tomorrow’s leaders.
With a planned gift of a bequest in trust, Catherine looks to support tomorrow’s women in finance and entrepreneurship. Babson encouraged her to take risks and follow her dreams. Her gift will empower future students to do the same.
By supporting Babson with a planned gift, Catherine is planting the seeds for future student success and urges her fellow alumni to do the same. As she says: “Consider educating future generations of entrepreneurs working on solutions for making the world better.”
